Matriculation is a formal process of entering a University or is a ceremony during which freshly admitted students are officially accepted into a University upon swearing the matriculation oath.

The University usually organises the ceremony to formally admit students. The date of matriculation shall be captured on the academic calendar and attendance is compulsory for all freshly admitted students.

Students must ensure they sign and submit the matriculation oath for filing as students’ record as required by policy.
